Sub Zero’s New Generation Integrated Hinge System

With the constant evolution of design, Sub-Zero has consistently executed to meet the needs of designers and customers alike and will be doing so once again with its “New Generation” Integrated Hinge System.

The new generation integrated hinging system can be found on all full-size Sub-Zero Integrated products: Columns, talls, and NGI wine storage units.

The new generation hinging system provides the ideal combination of customer convenience and design flexibility. While still maintaining a 1/8″ reveal, the hinging system allows easy access into the unit without the worry of damaging adjacent cabinetry or appliances.

BENEFITS:

Owners will appreciate the soft opening and soft closing that the new hinging system provides, so bottles and condiments stored in the door don’t “shake, rattle and roll.”

Past 60°, the door stays open, making it easier than ever to unload groceries. And with a maximum door swing of 105°, the unit is always easy to access.

The new generation hinging system also provides greater design flexibility, since it can accommodate multiple installation options such as handle-to-handle, handle-to-hinge, and hinge-to-hinge without the use of a partition. HOW DOES IT WORK?

The doors do not go beyond the width of the unit. When you open the door, the hinge first swings forward, then swings open – but the door stays within the width of the unit and does not intrude into adjacent cabinetry or other integrated appliances.

New Range to Match the Microwave

Over the summer, a Scotch Plains family upgraded their old microwave to a Bosch HMV5052U. This month, they went ahead and upgraded the range too! They went with the NEW Bosch Benchmark Series HGIP054UC, an All Gas, Slide-In Range.

Bosch introduced their newest series, Benchmark, in February 2014. Prior to the Benchmark Series, Bosch produced four lines of product. Bosch manufactures a vast range of product appealing to the taste and budget of nearly every customer. The newest line, the Benchmark Series, is designed to appeal to the customer looking for luxurious product without breaking the bank on some of the luxury style appliance brands.

Slide-in ranges are a good middle-ground for customers who want a built-in look but are hesitant to pay for a professional style range. One of the biggest challenges most customers face with switching from a traditional free-standing range to a slide-in range is the need for a piece of countertop or a filler strip behind the range. The Benchmark series slide-in ranges will slide-in perfectly where a free-standing range once stood without the need for additional countertop of a filler strip. The new refrigerators include a 36” Built-In 2-Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator/Freezer model along with 36”and 42” Fully-Integrated French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator/Freezer models. All new models feature a specially designed articulated hinge that installs for a fully-integrated and flush appearance. All are panel ready, allowing for the use of custom panels that blend seamlessly into kitchen cabinetry. Stainless steel doors are also offered in a sleek Euro-Style
and commercial-like Pro-Style®. These newest refrigerators are among 50 new SKUs being introduced by Jenn-Air in 2014.

One of our favorite things here at Top Line is to see photos of a completed kitchen featuring our appliances. Our delivery and installation crews are, for the most part, done before things are finalized, and rarely do we get a glimpse of things once all parts of the kitchen project are in place. The kitchen you are about to see is stunning, so please feast your eyes on this Westfield home! The custom cabinetry and reclaimed hand-hewn beams are beautifully designed into this kitchen by Wenger Kois Architecture + Design. Note how the refrigerator is set up to receive an integrated millwork panel and, in this case, the side panel was made to look like a set of drawers.
