A Customer Kitchen

We typically work with our clients for months….it starts with a tour of the showroom, we may quote a couple different packages, they work with their cabinet designer and key in on what appliances they want/can work in their kitchen plans, we email, we call, we re-quote back and forth.  You get the idea!  Eventually we set a delivery date, the appliances are installed, and our install crew takes a picture but the kitchen is not quite in presentation form.  So, it is so great when we get photos of the true, finished, final project!

Top Line customers, email jenniferw@toplineapl.com with your kitchen pictures and we’ll post them!

Here are photos from a beautiful Sea Girt kitchen designed by Penterman Kitchens.  We love the cabinetry, the lay out, the appliances they chose…

Sub Zero’s New Generation Integrated Hinge System

With the constant evolution of design, Sub-Zero has consistently executed to meet the needs of designers and customers alike and will be doing so once again with its “New Generation” Integrated Hinge System.

hinge

The new generation integrated hinging system can be found on all full-size Sub-Zero Integrated products: Columns, talls, and NGI wine storage units.

Let’s discuss.

The new generation hinging system provides the ideal combination of customer convenience and design flexibility.  While still maintaining a 1/8″ reveal, the hinging system allows easy access into the unit without the worry of damaging adjacent cabinetry or appliances.

BENEFITS:

Owners will appreciate the soft opening and soft closing that the new hinging system provides, so bottles and condiments stored in the door don’t “shake, rattle and roll.”

Past 60°, the door stays open, making it easier than ever to unload groceries. And with a maximum door swing of 105°, the unit is always easy to access.

The new generation hinging system also provides greater design flexibility, since it can accommodate multiple installation options such as handle-to-handle, handle-to-hinge, and hinge-to-hinge without the use of a partition. Because of this flexibility, the applications in which NGI product can be installed are endless.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The doors do not go beyond the width of the unit.  When you open the door, the hinge first swings forward, then swings open – but the door stays within the width of the unit and does not intrude into adjacent cabinetry or other integrated appliances.

Coming this summer from GE! Artistry Series

GE Unveils First Line of Appliances Designed by a Millennial for Millennials

  • Unique design focuses on simplicity, creating an entirely new aesthetic at an affordable price for first-time homebuyers and younger consumers

GE Artistry Suite - Black

Artistry will also be unveiled on July 2nd on the Rachael Ray show…

With the introduction of the GE Artistry™ Series, GE’s designers focus on the needs of today’s Millennial generation and their desire to uniquely express themselves. Created by a 27-year-old GE industrial designer with his own generation in mind, the Artistry Series provides first-time homebuyers with a distinctive and fresh-looking appliance suite at a price they can afford. This new line of stylishly sensible kitchen products includes five appliances: a gas range, electric range, bottom-freezer refrigerator, over-the-range microwave and top-control dishwasher.

Most appliances in this segment of the market have similar features that consumers use every day; the Artistry Series offers these, as well as a design aesthetic that will stand out in the home and on the retail floor.

“Investing in the design of these appliances was a top priority for our team,” said Lenzi. “We’ve tripled our design resources over the past two years, and after much research, Tomas DeLuna, industrial designer for GE Appliances’ Concept and Brand team, was tapped to lead the development of the Artistry Series. The look of the product line needed to be simple and approachable with very clean lines. DeLuna’s design sensibilities made him an ideal fit to lead the project.”

DeLuna took the opportunity to design for his own generation by focusing on touchpoints that mattered to him, in areas where consumers interact most with the product—handles, knobs and clocks. “Making the critical consumer touchpoints metallic, and set against either a pure, gloss white or black gloss finish, creates a look that is both familiar to our consumers, yet remains fresh and modern,” said DeLuna. “That’s what makes the GE Artistry Series special; the design is authentic and contemporary with a nod to the past not currently offered in the marketplace.”

The GE logo, visible as a badge on the appliances, also reflects this philosophy. The GE monogram with the words “General” and “Electric” recalls the product badges of the past, yet the juxtaposition of chrome and hi-gloss color evokes the core, contemporary Artistry design principles.

Both the new dishwasher and refrigerator are ENERGY STAR®-qualified appliances. The bottom-freezer refrigerator costs $49 to operate annually.

The full GE Artistry Series will be available in September 2013. Estimated retail price of the full GE Artistry product suite is $2,416.*

*Estimated retail pricing per appliance is as follows: bottom-freezer refrigerator, $1099; top-control dishwasher, $499; over-the-range microwave, $219; gas range and electric range, $599.

New Line: ALFRESCO Grills!

Image

Top Line Appliance Center is happy to announce we now carry the Alfresco brand of grills and accessories.

alfresco

About Alfresco:

True gourmet cooking is a creative art. As any artist knows, the right tools, workspace and ambiance are essential fuel to get those juices flowing. Alfresco’s Open Air Culinary Systems are designed with that purpose in mind. Alfresco turns any backyard into a resort quality living space by providing the right environment to fulfill the needs of even the most demanding of chefs. Most impressive, Alfresco accomplishes this while also maintaining both a wide variety of features and a functional yet visually stunning design.

Alfresco was co-founded in late 1999 by Dale Sieden after leaving LynxGrills, a company he started in 1994. With years of grill experience, Sieden had a vision: to position his new company as an outdoor kitchen line at a time when the term “outdoor kitchen” didn’t even exist yet. The concept took off allowing the company to carve out a firm place in the outdoor cooking market. Alfresco was later acquired by Jeff Bernstein who’s family was the former owner of Jade Range Commercial Cooking Equipment and Dynasty Residential Appliances. Bringing in new views and even more experience to
Alfresco, a new goal wasformed: to become the iPod of luxury outdoor grills and kitchens.
To bring Alfresco grills the commonplace notoriety of the iPod, the company made available a vast array of optional features, all capable of being integrated into its clean, modern designs. Alfresco’s customizable living spaces include such conveniences as bar facilities, refrigerators, side burners, steam fryers, or the Sear Zone, a burner with the intense searing heat of a direct-fired ceramic infrared burner. There is even an optional keg kit. Alfresco truly provides outdoor cooking enthusiasts with an ideal outdoor kitchen with both style and functionality.

Alfresco’s most recent addition to its family of grills is the LX2. Available in 30-, 42-, and 56-inch sizes, the line of LX2 grills offer the most advanced features and pure cooking performance of any gas grill on the market today. Utilizing its combined years of industry experience with extensive consumer research, Alfresco is successful in producing perhaps the finest and most dependable gas grill ever made. Innovative features include flip-down control panels, protective air curtains, hidden integrated rotisseries, work lights, and the Neverstore™ Warming Rack. The Neverstore, born in response to market feedback, is a re-engineered warming rack with four adjustable height positions and a unique up storage position that even allows rotisserie use without having to remove the rack.

After a busy workweek, there’s nothing better than relaxing in the back yard – the sizzle ofthe grill, the smell of seasoning, and the promise of a good meal to come. Alfresco is committed to bringing its customers and their families and friends the very best outdoor kitchen experience possible through options, adaptability, and a look that will wow guests every time. As the company continues to rise above and beyond in the industry, drawing from experience and the valued feedback of their clients, Alfresco’s mission is to continue impressing everyone from the casual griller to the leaders of the culinary world.

What’s the Quietest Dishwasher?

When shopping for a new dishwasher, many customers are concerned with the noise level of their purchase.

Dishwasher noise levels are rated in decibels, and the lower the decibel number the quieter the dishwasher.  The quality of insulation is important, and stainless steel tubs tend to be quieter than plastic tubs.

A difference of just a few decibels may not seem to be much, but a dishwasher that is just one decibel more is actually 30 percent louder. A dishwasher that is four decibels more is twice as loud.

A decibel rating of 60 will make it hard to have a conversation in the kitchen, models rated from 41 to 50 decibels will be virtually silent.

Here is a list of some of our favorite dishwasher models and their decibel rating:
